In the evening you will have a briefing with your guide to go over the safari plan, travel tips, and what to expect over the coming days.

Accommodation: Mid-range hotel in Arusha
Meals: Dinner

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds, sprawling baobab trees, and varied habitats ranging from riverine zones to woodland and savannah. Spend the day on a safari game-drive through Tarangire’s river valleys and open plains, where you might spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, various antelopes, and a rich birdlife. If luck is on your side, predators such as lions may be seen near water sources late in the day.

Enjoy lunch at a scenic picnic spot or at your lodge, then continue wildlife viewing into the afternoon. As dusk approaches, head back to your chosen lodge or tented camp to relax and enjoy dinner.

After an early breakfast, drive toward Lake Manyara National Park. This park offers a unique ecosystem: lush groundwater forests, expansive lake shores, and soda-lake habitats supporting vast bird populations. On arrival, begin your safari through forest, woodlands, and lake-edge landscapes — watch for elephants, baboons, baboon troops, monkeys, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, and an impressive variety of birds including flamingos and waterbirds. Lake Manyara is also world famous for its tree-climbing lions, offering a rare and memorable photo opportunity.

Enjoy lunch at a scenic spot or lodge, followed by more wildlife viewing in the afternoon. After a rewarding day, head to your accommodation near Manyara or in the highlands for dinner and overnight stay.

Begin the day early with a drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival at the crater rim, you’ll be greeted by one of Africa’s most magnificent natural sights — the vast volcanic caldera of the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a half- to full-day game drive. The crater floor offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife anywhere on the planet — expect to see buffalo, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, antelopes, birds, and, with some luck, predators like lions or hyenas. The crater is also among the best places in Tanzania to sight the endangered black rhino.

After a picnic lunch at a scenic spot by a hippo pool or crater lake, you’ll begin your journey back to Arusha. Arrival in Arusha or transfer to airport depending on your travel schedule.
