Welcome to Wildicon Safaris. These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, services, and travel arrangements made with Wildicon Safaris (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By confirming a booking with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.
These terms are designed to protect both the traveler and Wildicon Safaris and ensure a smooth, safe, and enjoyable travel experience in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
A booking with Wildicon Safaris becomes legally binding once we receive a completed booking form and the required deposit payment. At this point, a contractual agreement exists between the client and Wildicon Safaris. The person making the booking confirms that they are authorized to accept these terms on behalf of all travelers included in the booking.
Any special requests must be communicated in writing at the time of booking. While we do our best to accommodate requests, they are not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
To secure your safari or holiday, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit amount will be specified in your booking confirmation and depends on the type of trip, accommodation level, and season.
The full balance must be paid before the start of the tour, usually no later than 30 days prior to arrival, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Failure to complete payment by the due date may result in cancellation of services without refund of the deposit.
Accepted payment methods include:
Bank transfer
Credit or debit card
Other agreed international payment platforms
All bank transfer fees and transaction charges are the responsibility of the client.
In the event that a client cancels a confirmed tour, lodges, camps, airlines, and service providers charge penalty fees. To cover these non-recoverable costs, the following cancellation charges apply and will be deducted from the amount paid:
10% cancellation fee if canceled more than 90 days before the tour start date.
30% cancellation fee if canceled 60–89 days before the tour start date.
60% cancellation fee if canceled 30–59 days before the tour start date.
80% cancellation fee if canceled 8–29 days before the tour start date.
No refund if canceled 0–7 days before the tour start date.
Please note that if lodges, camps, airlines, or other suppliers impose higher penalty fees than the percentages stated above, the non-refundable amount will increase accordingly. Any bank charges or transfer fees associated with refunding money to your account will be deducted from the refund amount.
In rare circumstances, Wildicon Safaris may need to cancel a tour due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, or force majeure events.
In such cases, clients will be offered an alternative date or itinerary. If rescheduling is not possible, a refund will be issued for recoverable costs only. Wildicon Safaris is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by the client, such as international flights or visa fees.
Wildicon Safaris reserves the right to modify itineraries when necessary due to weather conditions, wildlife movements, road conditions, park regulations, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control.
Such changes are made in the best interest of the traveler and do not entitle the client to a refund. Where possible, we will provide alternative services of equal or higher value.
Accommodation descriptions are based on local standards and availability at the time of booking. In rare cases where a confirmed lodge or camp becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute it with accommodation of similar or higher standard.
All safari vehicles used by Wildicon Safaris are well-maintained, customized for safari use, and driven by professional driver-guides. However, breakdowns or delays caused by road conditions, weather, or unforeseen circumstances do not qualify for refunds.
Wildicon Safaris cannot guarantee sightings of specific animals, including the Big Five or the Great Migration. Wildlife sightings depend on natural movements and environmental factors beyond human control.
Activities such as walking safaris, canoeing, balloon safaris, mountain climbing, snorkeling, and diving involve inherent risks. Participation is voluntary, and clients accept full responsibility for their safety during such activities.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to travel. This includes obtaining all necessary vaccinations, medications, and medical advice before departure.
Wildicon Safaris is not liable for illness, injury, or medical emergencies that occur during the trip. Clients are strongly advised to disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation in activities, especially mountain climbing and walking safaris.
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all travelers. Your insurance should cover:
Medical emergencies and evacuation
Trip cancellation or interruption
Lost or delayed luggage
Adventure activities (including safari and mountain climbing)
Wildicon Safaris may request proof of insurance before the start of your trip.
Clients are responsible for ensuring their passports are valid for at least six months beyond the date of travel and contain sufficient blank pages.
Visa requirements vary by nationality and must be arranged by the traveler. Wildicon Safaris is not responsible for denied entry due to incorrect or missing documentation.
Luggage limits apply, especially on domestic flights and safari vehicles. Soft bags are recommended.
Wildicon Safaris is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings during the trip. Clients are advised to keep valuables secure and avoid unnecessary items during safaris.
Wildicon Safaris acts as an operator coordinating services provided by independent suppliers, including lodges, airlines, transport providers, and park authorities. We do not accept liability for:
Acts of God (weather, natural disasters)
Political unrest or government actions
Airline delays or cancellations
Accidents, illness, injury, or death
Loss or damage of personal property
Participation in safaris and activities is at the client’s own risk.
Wildicon Safaris shall not be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, war, government restrictions, or border closures.
In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative arrangements or reschedule the trip where possible.
By participating in our tours, clients grant Wildicon Safaris permission to use photographs or videos taken during the trip for marketing and promotional purposes, unless written objection is provided in advance.
Any complaints must be communicated immediately to your guide or Wildicon Safaris representative so they can be addressed on the spot.
Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the completion of the trip. We will investigate and respond promptly and fairly.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes shall be resolved under Tanzanian jurisdiction.
By confirming a booking with Wildicon Safaris, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full on behalf of yourself and all travelers in your group.
